6.13. - Page 82 of 366 Chiefs in cases where sick leave balances were decreased due to reassignment from a fifty-six (56) hour to a forty (40) hour work week. 16.1.5 An employee may elect to receive compensation in lieu of sick leave credits for any calendar year (based on the first twenty-six 261 pay periods ending thatin the calendar year) by requesting payment of unused sick leave in writing to the Director of Finance on or before December 1 of the prior year. Payment shall be made after December 31. There shall be no payment in lieu of accumulated sick leave benefits for years prior to such calendar year.
