6.B. - Page 105 of 366 <br />TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION (RCPSA) <br />RE: 2018 SUCCESSOR MOU NEGOTIATIONS <br />Ameun4s ded�ieted and withheld by the City shall be transmitte-0- to- the empleye <br />the address speeified. <br />If an employee member in the bargaining; unit desires to revoke, cancel or change prior <br />dues deduction authorization, the City shall direct the employee member to the <br />Association. If the employee then revokes, cancels or changes his or her dues deduction <br />authorization, the Association shall immediately notify the City of the revocation, <br />cancelation or change. Any such dues deduction revocation, cancellation and/or change <br />shall be effective in the first full pay period following the Association's notice to the Cit <br />re ag rding the revocation, cancellation or change. If a dispute arises about the existence or <br />terms of an individual authorization, the Association shall provide a copy of the <br />authorization to the City upon its request. <br />The employee's earnings must be sufficient, after all other required deductions are made, <br />to cover the amount of the deductions herein authorized. When an employee is in a non - <br />pay status for an entire pay period, no deductions will be made to cover that pay period <br />from future earnings. In the case of an employee who is in a non -pay status during a part <br />of the pay period, and the salary is not sufficient to cover the full withholding, no deduction <br />shall be made. In this connection, all required deductions have priority over the <br />Association deduction. <br />The Association hereby agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the City harmless against <br />any claim made and against any suit initiated against the City on account of check off of <br />Association dues. In addition, the Association shall refund to the City any amount paid to <br />it in error upon presentation of supporting evidence. <br />3.2 Bulletin Boards <br />The City shall provide suitable space for a bulletin board in the Police Department. The <br />Association shall provide a bulletin board no larger than thirty inches by inches (30" <br />x 40—." . The Association shall only be allowed to use such bulletin boards for <br />communications having to do with official Association business, such as time and place of <br />meetings. Material will not violate the law or City policies, including policies prohibiting <br />harassment and discrimination, and laws prohibiting public agencies from supporting <br />candidates for public office or ballot measures. The City reserves the right to remove from <br />City bulletin boards any material that violates the law or City policies. <br />3.3 Use of City Facilities <br />4 <br />
