6.B. - Page 110 of 366 <br />TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION (RCPSA) <br />RE: 2018 SUCCESSOR MOU NEGOTIATIONS <br />• The employee maintains a current performance evaluation of meets or exceeds <br />standards; <br />• The employee possesses a valid Advanced Certification awarded by the <br />California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training; <br />• The employee has completed sixty (60) college semester credits of which <br />twenty-four must be in the Administration of Justice, or in the alternative, an <br />employee who possesses an A.A. or higher degree from an accredited <br />institution of higher learning; and <br />• The employee has completed ten (10) years of service with the City of <br />Redwood City (years of service need not be continuous). <br />The Police Sergeant -Advanced and Police Lieutenant -Advanced salary ranges <br />shall be set 2.5% above the Police Sergeant and Police Lieutenant salary ranges, <br />respectively. <br />7.2.6 In accordance with RCPSA MOU Section 7.5, 7.6, 7.9, and 7.10: <br />Police Lieutenants will be eligible for the following incentives, if applicable: <br />o Education Incentive (2.5%-5.0%) <br />o Bilingual Lieenti ePremium (2.5%-5%) <br />Police Sergeants will be eligible for the following incentives, if applicable: <br />o Education Incentive (2.5%-5.0%) <br />o Bilingual Lneentiv Premium (2.5%-5%) <br />o Shift Differential LqeeHtive (5%) <br />o Specialty Incentive (5%) <br />o Court Pay (.75%) <br />7.3 Salary Increase on Promotion <br />-When a Police Officer is promoted to Police Sergeant, and when a Police Sergeant is <br />promoted to Police Lieutenant, the employee's base salary will be increased to the step in <br />the Police Sergeant or Police Lieutenant range that represents no less than a five percent <br />(5%) increase. Any differentials the employee received prior to appointment to Police <br />Sergeant or Police Lieutenant will not be used in calculating the five percent (5%) increase. <br />The differentials that the employee qualifies for as Police Sergeant or Police Lieutenant <br />will be added to the newly promoted employee's Police Sergeant or Police Lieutenant base <br />salary. In the event that the above formula results in a loss of total adjusted salary, the <br />Police Chief may authorize a promotional increase of up to ten percent (10%). In the event <br />that an employee has been in an acting assignment for more than twelve (12) months <br />immediately preceding the promotion, the Police Chief may authorize a promotional <br />increase of ten percent (10%). If the promotional appointment is made at the second or <br />higher step, the promoted employee shall be eligible for a salary increase in six (6) months <br />following the promotional appointment. <br />7.4 Overtime <br />7.4.1 Forty (40) Hour Workweek Employees <br />
