6.B. - Page 111 of 366 <br />TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION (RCPSA) <br />RE: 2018 SUCCESSOR MOU NEGOTIATIONS <br />Overtime for employees in the Police Department is the authorized time worked <br />beyond the forty (40) hour workweek. Overtime shall be compensated at one and one-half (1.5) times the <br />employee's rate of pay as defined in Section 7.4.2 of this MOU. <br />7.4.2 Definition of Overtime Rate of Pay <br />The overtime rate of pay is defined as one and one-half (1.5) times the total of the <br />employee's base rate of pay plus any premium pay and any educational incentive <br />pay, prorated to an hourly amount, that the employee receives pursuant to Section <br />7.5 herein. Premium pay under Section 7.5 includes night differential and <br />assignment pay for Investigations, Street Crime Suppression Team. Downtown <br />Services Unit, Traffic, Training, and Narcotics Task Force differential. In the event <br />that the City and the PSA agree to establish any additional forms of premium pay, <br />such newly created forms of premium pay will also be included in computing the <br />overtime rate of pay. <br />7.4.3 Compensatory Time <br />Upon request employees represented by the Association shall be compensated for <br />such overtime in compensatory time off <br />hours of compensatoFy time . Employees may accumulate a maximum of eight <br />(80) hours of compensatory time off, which may be used at times chosen by the <br />employee and approved by the Police Chief. An em to ee shall upon separation <br />from City employment, be paid for unused, accumulated compensatory time off at <br />the higher of (1) the employee's final regular rate of pay, or Q the employee's <br />average regular rate of pay during the last three 3 ears of em to ment. <br />7.4.4 Overtime Compensation for Lieutenants <br />Lieutenants shall be treated as non-exempt employees and are eligible for and <br />_overtime eempensationpaay in accordance with the Fair- t aber C+.,,,d. rds- <br />^ et ( LSATthis MOU. <br />7.5 Premium Pa_y <br />7.5.1 Specialty Incentive <br />Police Sergeants who are assigned to the following special assignments shall <br />receive premium pay of five percent (5%) of the employee's base pay: <br />o Police Investigator (Investigations, Street Crime Suppression Team,,—) <br />o Narcotics Division (Narcotics Task Force), <br />o Training (Training Manager), and <br />10 <br />1 3t <br />
