6.B. - Page 113 of 366 <br />TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION (RCPSA) <br />RE: 201$ SUCCESSOR MOU NEGOTIATIONS <br />are involved in a pre -planned raid or arrest scenario of an anticipated suspect, or when <br />directed by a supervisor. <br />Police Sergeants and Police Lieutenants may be excused from wearing body armor when <br />they are functioning primarily in an administrative or support capacity, or when medical <br />clearance has been provided by a valid medical authority. <br />7.7.1 The City will insure that all new Police Sergeants and Police Lieutenants have or <br />are provided the following articles of Regular Duty Uniform clothing: <br />3 pairs of pants <br />3 long -sleeve shirts <br />3 short -sleeve shirts <br />1 underbelt <br />1 cold weather (non -leather) jacket with patches <br />1 dress cap or baseball cap with patch (officer's choice) <br />1 dress tie <br />2 name tags <br />$125.00 maximum annual reimbursement for boots (purchase or resoling). <br />The City will also provide and maintain the following Utility Uniform to be worn <br />at the direction of the Police Chief or his/her designee: <br />1 pair utility pants <br />1 long -sleeve utility shirt <br />1 short -sleeve utility shirt <br />7.7.2 The City will provide for cleaning, altering, repairing and/or replacement of <br />damaged uniforms as authorized by the Police Chief or his/her designee. <br />Such furnished uniforms shall remain the property of and under the control of the <br />City. <br />At the end of eaeh fiseal year-, the Fiftanee Department will ealeula�a the total e0st a <br />oleaning, e eand�or-o <br />7.7.3 For classic Ca1PERS members as defined by the Public Employee Pension Reform <br />Act (PEPRA), the City will report to Ca1PERS the monetary value for providing <br />and maintaining the employee's required uniforms as described above. The City <br />will report the uniform costs on a bi-weekly basis. The uniform purchase and <br />maintenance amount reported_to Ca1PERS will be derived from the City's total <br />fiscal year cost for providing the employee's uniforms, not to exceed one thousand <br />two hundred dollars ($1,200) per fiscal year, per employee. This total cost will be <br />divided by the number of employees who have been assigned to patrol duty during <br />the fiscal year. The time during which an employee is assigned to non -uniformed <br />duties during the fiscal year shall not be factored into the calculations described <br />herein. The resulting quotient will be part of the PERS reportable compensation <br />only for those employees who are classic Ca1PERS members who were assigned <br />to patrol duty at any time during the fiscal year.-, as determined by CAPERS <br />regulations.
