6.B. - Page 119 of 366 <br />TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION (RCPSA) <br />RE: 2018 SUCCESSOR MOU NEGOTIATIONS <br />7.14 Illness During Vacation <br />7.14.1 An employee who commences a scheduled vacation period and subsequently <br />becomes ill before his or her vacation period has been completed shall be placed <br />on sick leave under the following conditions: <br />7.14.1.1 The employee otherwise qualified for sick leave as provided by this <br />MOU; and <br />7.14.1.2 The employee, if no longer ill, returns to duty immediately following <br />the vacation period; and, <br />7.14.1.3 The employee's illness is verified by a statement from an a <br />licensed medical dae4e practitioner for each such day of sick leave <br />requested. <br />7.14.2 When the employee's vacation leave is to be converted to sick leave, the <br />appropriate vacation credit shall be restored to the employee's earned vacation <br />balance, and a reasonable opportunity to utilize this vacation credit shall be <br />provided within the City's existing practices in order to avoid loss of vacation <br />credit. <br />7.15 Holidays <br />Regular full-time employees shall be entitled to t-aketime off with full pay for all authorized <br />holidays at ftill paylisted below, not to exceed ten (10) hours, for any one (1) day, provided <br />they are in a pay status ten (10) hours, as the ease may be, on both their regularly scheduled <br />workdays immediately preceding and following the holiday; and r,., videa 6:441 a- that <br />original. Memorial Day (Observed on the last Monday in May) <br />5. Independence Day (Observed July 4) <br />6. Labor Day (Observed on the first Monday in September) <br />7.
