6.B. - Page 123 of 366 <br />TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION (RCPSA) <br />RE: 2018 SUCCESSOR MOU NEGOTIATIONS <br />all the duties of his or her position. In addition, the employee may be required to <br />undergo a medical examination at the City's expense before the employee is <br />permitted to return to work. <br />An employee may use up to six's one-half (112) of accrued sick leave in any <br />calendar year for lithe :Y,wflediate rnfollowing reasons: <br />• For the pufpeseemployee's own diagnosis, care, or treatment of this <br />c o,.«"°that° fiHn l y mean an existing health condition or <br />preventative care. <br />• For the diagnosis, care, or treatment of an existing health condition or <br />preventative care for an em to ee's family member, including: <br />o Child (including a biological, adopted, or foster child, stepchild, <br />legal ward, or a child to whom the employ ends in loco <br />parentis.) <br />o Spouse or Registered Domestic Partner. <br />o Parent (includingbiological, iological, adoptive, or foster parent, stepparent, <br />or legal guardian of an employee or the employee's spouse; or <br />registered domestic partner, or a person who stood in loco <br />parentis when the employee was a minor child.) <br />o Grandparent. <br />o Grandchild. <br />o Sibling. <br />• To obtain any relief or services related to being a victim of domestic <br />violence sexual assault or stalking including the following with <br />appropriate certification of the need for such services: <br />o A temporary restraining order or restraining order. <br />o Other injunctive relief to help ensure the health, safety or welfare <br />of themselves or their children. <br />o To seek medical attention for injuries caused by domestic violence, <br />sexual assault, or stalking. <br />o To obtain services from a domestic violence shelter, program, or <br />rape crisis center as a result of domestic violence, sexual assault, or <br />stalkin4. <br />o To obtain psychological counseling related to an experience of <br />domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking. <br />o To participate in safety planning and take other actions to increase <br />safety from future domestic violence sexual assault or stalking, <br />including temporary or permanent relocation. <br />9.1.2 Except in cases of extreme emergency or exceptional unforeseen circumstances, <br />in order to receive compensation for absences charged to sick leave, the employee <br />shall notify his/her immediate supervisor no less than one-half 1/2)hour plus <br />travel time prior to the scheduled time for beginning his/her work duties of the <br />impending absence.
