6.B. - Page 131 of 366 <br />TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION (RCPSA) <br />RE: 2018 SUCCESSOR MOU NEGOTIATIONS <br />exceed the amount of the Ca1PERS Bay Area Kaiser Premium for family <br />coverage based on the BLay Area Re ionalricin schedule. The City will <br />pU the PEMHCA minimum employer contribution to Ca1PERS and <br />reimburse the retiree for the remaining difference in prernium amount. <br />B. Tier 2: For retirees hired by the City on or after September 1, 2018, the <br />stipend shall not exceed ninety percent 90% of the CaIPERS Bay Area <br />Kaiser Premium for employ only coverage. The City will pay the <br />PEMHCA minimum employer contribution to CaIPERS and reimburse_ the <br />retiree for the remaining difference in the City's contribution amount. <br />For Tier 2 retirees hired by the City on or after September 1, 2018, who <br />reside in other higher priced regions, the City's contribution shall not exceed <br />ninety percent (90%) of the Ca1PERS Bay Area Kaiser Premium for <br />employee only coverage. The retiree will be required to pay the additional <br />premium amount that is in excess of the Bay Area rates. <br />For Tier 2 retirees who separate employment via a service retirement during <br />the term of this MOU this benefit shall continue until a member becomes <br />eligible for Medicare. Once a member becomes eligible for Medicare the <br />City will pay the member a stipend that shall not exceed the employee only <br />cost of the "Kaiser Permanente SR Advantage Plan." Should that plan be <br />abolished, the City will pay members a stipend not to exceed the employee <br />only cost of the next most comparable plan. The City will pay the PEMHCA <br />minimum em io er contribution to Ca1PERS and reimburse the retiree for <br />the remaining difference in premium amount. <br />10.2.7 In the event there are any costs not charged to the City due to delays by Ca1PERS <br />and/or other administrative agencies in calculating or reporting these costs, said <br />costs shall be carried over and charged as administrative costs to the following <br />plan year and deducted from the aforementioned monthly dollar caps <br />accordingly. <br />10.2.8 All costs incurred by the City to maintain the Group Health Benefits Plan in <br />compliance with Government Code Section 22750, et. seq., and all costs incurred <br />by the City to maintain the Cafeteria Plan in compliance with IRS Code Section <br />125, shall be paid from the aforementioned monthly dollar caps identified in <br />RCPSA MOU Sections 10.2.2, 10.2.3, and 10.2.4. Such costs include, but are <br />not limited to, premiums, surcharges, and/or administrative fees. <br />10.29 In the event there are any costs not charged to the City due to delays by the Group <br />Health Plan Administrator and/or other administrative agencies in calculating or <br />reporting these costs, said costs shall be carried over and charged as <br />administrative costs to the following plan year and deducted from the <br />aforementioned monthly dollar caps accordingly. <br />10.2.10 An employee who is receiving a disability retirement due to a work related <br />illness or injury shall receive paid medical benefits provided that the following <br />conditions are met: <br />30 <br />15;9, <br />
