6.13. - Page 26 of 366 <br />TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN REDWOOD CITY AND <br />REDWOOD CITY MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION <br />RE: 2018 SUCCESSOR MOU <br />service in as reasonable manner as possible. Each department will post a final vacation <br />schedule by April 30 of each year. Department Heads may apply an alternate vacation <br />scheduling procedure subject to mutual agreement between the City and RCMEA. <br />16.17.3 Full-time employees shall be entitled to accrue annual vacation leave as follows: <br />Upon date of hire through the end of the fourth 411year ofd service, werkers-employees shall <br />accrue vacation at a rate (3.077 hours per pay period) that yields ei ht 801 hours of vacation <br />per yeaFat the end of each year of service. <br />The fifth JELyear of service through the end of the ninths year of service, werkers <br />employees will accrue vacation at a rate (4.615 hours per pay period) that yields one hundred <br />twenty 1201 hours of vacation paF yearat the end of each year of service. <br />The tenth 101h year of service through the end of the sixteenth Llnyear of service, WGFkefe <br />employees will accrue vacation at a rate (6,154 hours per pay period) that yields one hundred <br />sixt 1601 hours of vacation mat the end of each year of service. <br />The seventeenth17Nyear of service through the end of the nineteenth1�year of service, <br />werkers-employees will accrue vacation at a rate (6.923 hours per pay period) that yields one <br />hundred eighty (1801 hours of vacation mat the end of each year of service. <br />The twentieth 2nyear of service and subsequent years of service, ,.,^,gym Imes shall <br />accrue vacation at a rate (7,692 hours per pay period) that yields two hundred (2001 hours of <br />vacation per -at the end of each year of service, <br />16.17.4 Vacation leave shall not be accumulated in excess of the amount of vacation hours an employee <br />can accrue in a two (2) yearsperiod based on the employee's current years of City service <br />aGGFU@d vaaa n leave computed through the pay period that includes the 31st of December, <br />except upon written authorization of the Personnel Officer. <br />16.17.5 Upon termination of employment an employee shall be paid cash value of his or her accrued <br />vacation leave at the time of the termination, in accordance with the above schedule. <br />16.18 Illness During Vacation <br />00059814-1 <br />16.18.1 An employee who commences a scheduled vacatfon period and subsequently becomes ill before <br />his or her vacation period has been completed shall be placed on sick leave under the following <br />conditions: <br />16.18.1.1 The employee has the requisite amount of accrued, unused sick leave and <br />otherwise qualifies for sick leave as provided by this Agreement; and, <br />16.18.1.2 The employee, if no longer ill, returns to duty immediately following the vacation <br />period; and, <br />16.18,1.3 The employee's illness is verified by a statement from 9n aGGFe ited mediGal <br />daeter a licensed medical practitioner for each such day of sick leave requested. <br />21 <br />45 <br />
