This house, which is of similar size and proportions to the others on the street, stands out from its surroundings because it is among the few Redwood City houses clad entirely in brick. (In most houses of this type, the brick is not structural, but a cladding over a wooden frame. It is unlikely, but further investigation could reveal that the brick walls are structural.) Though the design is otherwise unremarkable, the combination of the brick, with its eye-catching skintling, and the restrained but refined classical details make this house an unusual interpretation of a type that is akin to the stuccoed Spanish Colonial Revival examples more common in the area. 20.
