Effective January 1, 2019, Battalion Chiefs assigned to <br />a forty (40) hour schedule and the Fire Marshal shall be paid overtime on a <br />straight time basis at the forty (40) hour rate of pay, or shall receive one (1) hour <br />of administrative leave (compensatory time off) for each hour of overtime <br />worked up to a maximum of one hundred sixty (160) hours per calendar year. <br />The Deputy Fire Chief shall be granted one -hundred forty (140) hours of <br />administrative leave per calendar year. Effective January 1, 2019, the Deputy <br />Fire Chief shall be granted one -hundred sixty (160) hours of administrative leave <br />per calendar year. <br />Administrative leave not used by December 31 shall be paid off at the straight <br />time rate. <br />14.5.5 Battalion Chiefs assigned to a shift schedule shall be paid overtime at a straight <br />time basis or shall receive up to one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours as <br />administrative leave on _a straight time basis at the fifty-six (56) hour rate. <br />Effective January 1, 2019LBattaiion Chiefs assigned to a shift schedule shall be <br />paid overtime at a straight time basis or shall receive up to two hundred and <br />twenty four 224 hours as administrative leave on a straight time basis at the <br />fifty-six (56) hour rate. <br />Administrative leave not used by December 31 shall be paid off at the straight <br />time rate. <br />14.5.6 Battalion Chiefs shall have the right of first refusal for all hire backs to fill a <br />Battalion Chiefs shift when the regularly scheduled Battalion Chief is on a City <br />authorized leave. Overtime hours earned under this hire back provision shall <br />be paid as Command Pay. Command pay shall be paid at the top rate of the <br />56 -hour Battalion Chief salary range times 1.25 per hour, Overtime hours <br />earned under this hire back provision shall be paid in cash and not count toward <br />the one hundred sixty-eight hours (168)1 two hundred and twenty four 224 hour <br />yearly overtime limit specified in Sections 14.5.5. <br />14.6 External Reimbursements <br />When external Federal or State funds are made available to the City to specifically fund or <br />reimburse COA unit overtime activities on a special project basis, such externally <br />reimbursed overtime shall not be counted toward the yearly one hundred twenty (120)1 one <br />hundred sixty (160), one hundred forty (140) )1 one hundred sixty (160), or one hundred <br />sixty-eight (168)/two hundred twenty four (224) hour overtime limit specified in Sections <br />14.5.4, and 14.5,5, Additionally, when external Federal or State funds are made available to <br />the City to specifically reimburse COA work activities, COA unit members shall be paid at <br />the reimbursement rate or the rate prescribed by the MOU, whichever is greater. <br />14.7 Uniform Allowance <br />14.7.1 Effective July 1, 2014, at the discretion of the Fire Chief or his or her designee, <br />the City will provide for all new bargaining unit members a set of uniform articles <br />as listed in the Department's Uniform Policy, including Battle Dress uniforms. <br />23 <br />91 <br />
