REV: 07-15-2021 VR
discuss potential impacts the Project may have on identified historical resources. Consultant
assumes no more than three buildings will require evaluation for historical significance and
preparation of State of California Department of Parks and Recreation Series 523 Forms (DPR
forms).
In addition, a technical memo documenting archaeological and tribal outreach results would be
included. Specific tasks are included below.
Property-Specific Research and Archival Records Search. Background research will involve
a records research at the appropriate Information Center. As the Project is in San Mateo County,
a file search will be conducted at the Northwest Information Center (NWIC) of the California
Historical Resource Information System (CHRIS) located at Sonoma State University, Rohnert
Park. Consultant will conduct a records search of a 1/4 -mile buffer surrounding the Project Area
to determine the type of cultural resources that were previously documented within and/or near
the Project, as well as previously conducted archaeological inventories, excavations projects, and
regional overviews.
Consultant architectural historians will conduct property-specific research of the parcel. Research
about the region and selected potentially historic properties will also be developed as part of a
historic context of the region.
Property Survey A qualified Consultant architectural historian will conduct a survey of the
property to document the extant structure and existing environment related to the property.
Detailed photographs will be taken to document the property and structures. Because the area is
entirely paved, no archaeological survey is proposed.
Native American Heritage Commission (NAHC) Sacred Lands File Search. Consultant will
request a sacred file search with the Native American Heritage Commission (NAHC) in
Sacramento and will prepare and submit letters to Native American contacts in San Mateo County
as part of the Native American outreach and consultation under the Assembly Bill (AB52).
Reporting. The previously unevaluated structures will be recorded according to current
professional standards for the appropriate Department of Parks and Recreation forms (DPR-523).
If the property has been previously evaluated, the documentation will be reviewed, and an
updated will be completed. Archaeological information will be documented. The cultural resources
and tribal cultural resources sections analyses of the CEQA document will be based on the
cultural resources assessment as outlined in the tasks above.
Assumptions
1.No Federal nexus/Section 106 is included in this study
2.It is anticipated that three buildings will be documented during the study. If
additional resources are encountered during fieldwork, a change order/contract
modification will be necessary to account for additional time to document and
record those resources
3.One cultural resource draft technical memo will be submitted to the City for
review. It will include the evaluation and DPR forms, context, and existing
environment of the property. It is anticipated that the City will provide comments
after the initial submittal of the draft report.
4.Attendance to one public meeting is included.
ATTY/AGR.2021/Amend No. 1/Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.
