+1 There is already a housing crisis. Restricting new homes and renovation will just make it
worse. The problem to solve is imposing the tax assessments of new builds and renovation
on the evaluation of the neighborhood as a whole. Evaluation should not change on existing
property until ownership changes, or extensive renovation is done. This controls
gentrification without causing blight.
L+1 2 The housing crisis needs to be alleviated. However, serious consideration should be put
towards gauaranteing parking.
+1 1Issue has little relevance to me. Please focus on stuff that matters to more citizens
R 1 build, build, build
R 1Some lots are odd shaped and the only way to expand is going up.
+1 1 - We need more housing. Neighborhoods are going to change. It's about making the
change positive and inclusive, not stopping change altogether.
+1 1 every week I think these proposals can't get any more insane and then this one happens
+1 1 - This is over reaching. The City already has a zoning code, which provides too many
limitations. Those limitation are a big reason we have a housing shortage. All buildings also
are required to meet the building code too. If the city wants good buildings hire good
architects. There are much better solutions to the problems with good architectural
planning and design. Consider for instance allowing people to build more indoor space (an
addition) to their house- so they don't have to use their garage as a bedroom or family room
and instead park there cars there. Gosh... wouldn't that would be something. It might
actually remove a few parked cars from the street too. @
+1 1 there are much more pressing issues. This is absurd.
,1 1 - More regulations will drive up the cost of housing, construction, permitting, etcRWC is
a mix of many styles. Some neighborhoods are apartment complexes next to single family
homes. Let it be. Houston has the lowest housing prices of many big cities and they have NO
ZONING! Stop the over regulation!
