6.A. - Page 21 of 23
Redwood City RFP
Supplemental EIR - MULW Amendment
MAP:
PROEXT OVERVIEW
The City of Redwood City is processing amendments to the MULW and MULW-S zoning districts to
increase flexibility in land uses, promote live/work units, improve the jobs/housing balance, and simplify
the zoning. The goal is to maintain the existing height provisions of 3 stories, but incorporate the
community benefit bonus provisions, consistent with the other mixed-use zoning districts (see key
amendments below). This zoning amendment is an implementation action of the recently adopted EI
Camino Real Corridor Plan.
KEY AMENDMENTS:
A. Zoning District Amendments
a. Maintain the height and FAR (3 stories, 2.0 FAR)
b. Maintain density (20 du/ac)
c. Add community benefits bonus (up to +2 stories, +20 du/ac)
d. Allow more uses (permitted and conditional) and increase size restrictions
e. Modify live/work standards to provide more flexibility
B. General Plan Amendments
a. Update mixed-use live/work sections (map, narrative, and density)
PA
27
Mixed Use: Live[Work and Emergency Shelter Zoning
yon
A
II IIII MULW (Mixed Use - Live.Work)
r
- MULW-S (Mixed Use - Emergency Shelter)
a ' I
_
Redwood City
Neighboring Cities
40
% ae ass
City Limit Boundary
OilX94 <o
<o
I
Railroads
1 4.4
z
YF7FR4R3 BLYQ i
82
/

a

ro1
BROIWWRY
Ai
8pa4bWnY 4. A
HOOVER g RGll9pR
ryOF RQ
i1.t1
.%
oPP
KGF
r ` AST a BTgk
44
O
ysT
.iR
rp's
NORTH FAIR OAKS
(UNINC)
a
P
O
iy
ao
k
?
O
3
PROEXT OVERVIEW
The City of Redwood City is processing amendments to the MULW and MULW-S zoning districts to
increase flexibility in land uses, promote live/work units, improve the jobs/housing balance, and simplify
the zoning.
