City Manager Everett <br /> commented that it is an existing range at the Police Department and the subject is leasing to <br /> another agency. <br /> <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br /> <br /> Council Member JOrdan thanked Janet Borgens for sharing her opinions and stated that <br /> some of the facts were incorrect and some of the items misunderstood. Council Member <br /> Jordan further stated that the data and facts she used came from City staff and that she <br /> would be happy to discuss the matters at a later date. <br /> <br />8. PUBLIC HEARING- <br /> <br /> A. i) PUBLIC HEARING on Annual Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan for FY 2001- <br /> 2002; (404) <br /> Housing Coordinator Jones-Thomas explained that beginning in December 2000, the <br /> City was notified by the Department of Housing and Redevelopment of the entitlement <br /> amount. A notice of funding availability and request for funding proposals was <br /> published and in January staff held two workshops to assist nonprofit organizations to <br /> competitively apply for the funds. On a preliminary submittal date, applications were <br /> reviewed and feedback provided to the organizations. The Committee has held several <br /> hearings to review all submitted proposals and has met with many nonprofit <br /> organizations to hear about changing needs.
