The incumbent must have demonstrated an ability to work <br />independently and provide excellent customer service before advancing to this level. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br />Software Development and Application Support Analyst I <br />Immediate supervision is provided by the Supervising IT Analyst and may include <br />supervision by a Senior Software Development and Application Support Analyst. The <br />Software Development and Application Support Analyst exercises no direct <br />supervision, although they may on occasion lead less complex software application <br />projects. <br />Software Development and Application Support Analyst II <br />Immediate supervision is provided by the Supervising IT Analyst and may include <br />supervision by a Senior Software Development and Application Support Analyst. The <br />Software Development and Application Support Analyst II may occasionally assign <br />tasks to other Analysts when acting as a project lead. <br />EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL AND IMPORTANT DUTIES - Duties may include, but <br />are not limited to, the following with the level II classification expected to perform at a <br />higher level of independence and with more complex responsibilities /expectations <br />than the level I classification. <br />Perform procedural analysis and development. <br />2. Design and develop applications according to the Software Development <br />Lifecycle (SDLC) and other current best practices. <br />3. Scope, code, test, and debug applications or application components, <br />interfaces, scripts, queries, and reports. <br />4. Analyze, recommend, test, implement, and support software applications that <br />solve organizational challenges, needs, and requests. <br />5. Document processes, procedures, and solutions. <br />6. Develop and/or recommend software solutions that promote organizational <br />efficiency and service delivery. <br />7. Maintain, upgrade, and support the City's intranet and internet web sites. <br />8.
