5. The argument that the location being nine minutes from downtown is not realistic to
someone who commuted for twenty years. It already takes seven minutes to drive from my
home to Whipple and 101 then I have a thirty plus minute commute to BART. Nine minutes to
the ferry with adequate parking for the day would allow me to reduce time spent driving to
reading, working on my laptop, relaxing coming and going. And it would be one last car on
101 daily. The ferry is a win win for Redwood City.
5 this opens the door for cross bay services which would be much more useful
5 yes, need to increase public transit options to relieve traffic. I would use this service regularly
5 this would be awesome. Should have another one from San Jose.
4. Other than the people working at the business park next to the port, the ferry will be slower
mode of transport. However it would be an asset to RWC.
4 It's got to be a matter of efficiency and adoption: When traveling by ferry is a viable
alternative by factors time and cost to sitting in traffic by car or commuting by train.
Embedded in a bus shuttle service to Sequoia Station this might actually work out
5 - We would love to take a ferry to the city rather than drive. Please consider adding service to
the pier at Giants stadium on game days.
5 -Amazing how we go back at least 60 + years to when we had ferry service on the bay.
Should really help to alleviate the heavy traffic on 101 mid peninsula
S. A great option especially for commuting from March - October.
5 although I most likely won't be around by then I am all in favor of a ferry service. What a
great idea II
5. if it is too hard for passengers to drive to the ferry terminal, there could be shuttle busses.
5 ferry is constant time and the trip is nice (I commuted using my employers ferry service
here). It's well worth it.
