8.113. - Page 54 of 122 <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVES AND GOALS 26 1 P a g e 280 <br />Design, identify funding and construct the US Highway 101/84 Interchange <br />Design on the interchange has commenced and staff are working to <br />Reconstruction Project (CD) <br />identify funding. <br />Plan, design, and construct the Blomquist Bridge extension over Redwood <br />Staff has begun the initial planning of this project and this will <br />Creek (CD) <br />continue into Fiscal Year 2019-2020. <br />Plan, design, and construct the US Highway 101 Pedestrian Undercrossing <br />Construction started with utility relocations in February 2018. Staff <br />(CD) <br />advertised for bidding in December 2018. Staff anticipates <br />construction for the path to start in mid -2019, as allowed by <br />regulatory permits. <br />Continue to implement neighborhood traffic calming projects (CD) <br />This spring staff will seek additional community input regarding traffic <br />calming improvements on Hopkins Avenue and the planning of the <br />Roosevelt traffic -calming plan will begin. <br />Initiate planning process for the Whipple Avenue Grade Separation Study <br />Staff is working with Caltrain to develop a scope of work for this <br />(CD) <br />project. <br />Initiate planning process for the Redwood City Ferry Feasibility study and <br />Staff received grant funding to complete a financial feasibility study <br />cost benefit analysis, in partnership with the Port of Redwood City (CD) <br />and cost -benefit analysis and issued a request for proposals for <br />consultant services. Staff anticipates selecting a consultant in early <br />2019. <br />Construct a Downtown Parking Guidance System (CD) <br />A consultant submitted a preliminary plan for the way finding system <br />in 2018.
