Consultant shall be available to answer design -related, technical questions from bidders during the bid process. The cost of this task is based on the assumption that the Consultant will not attend any bid meetings, and will not prepare any drawing or specification revisions as a result of questions or comments received during the bid process. Deliverables, Task 2.0: Phone calls and e-mails as necessary. Task 3.0: Seismic Upgrade of Peninsula Tank No. 2 — Consulting Services during Construction The City will have primary responsibility for Design Services during Construction. Consultant shall assist Redwood City in responding to design -related questions, requests for deviations from design, and advice on submittal review. The City will perform the following • Run the pre -construction meeting. • Perform Inspection of Construction. • Respond to Requests for Information, and requests for design clarification. • Respond to Design Change Requests. • Respond to Change Orders. • Record all design changes and prepare as -built drawings. Consultant will be available to respond to technical, design -related questions from the City. If necessary, Consultant will visit the job site to provide assistance to the City's inspectors and to respond to questions in the field. Consultant will not attend the pre- construction meeting. Deliverables, Task 3.0: Phone calls, e-mails and sketches as necessary. Task 4.0: Technical Consulting Services Consultant shall provide Structural and Civil Engineering consulting services to the City to assist the City with its capital upgrade program for water infrastructure. The primary focus will be on the performance of the water system during and after possible earthquakes. The initial focus of this task shall be during the construction phase of the new California Tank and Pump Station Project that has been designed by others. Consulting will be provided as requested by the City; and will also include all other tanks, pump stations, and miscellaneous infrastructure throughout the Redwood City Water System. Deliverables, Task 4.0: Phone calls, e-mails, calculations, technical memos and sketches as requested by the City. 3. Schedule Consultant shall complete the tasks as follows: Task 1.0: Task 1.0 will be completed within four calendar weeks of notice to proceed. Task 2.0: As needed during bid.
