Public Comment: <br /> <br /> Sean Breen stated he thinks that a skate park should be built and that it would save money <br /> by eliminating vandalization at skate spots that are illegal. He further stated that the skate <br /> church had helped the situation. <br /> <br /> Jim Bmen stated his support for a skate park. <br /> <br /> Anthony Barnes stated that a skate park would be great. <br /> <br /> Nick Gaston stated he would like a skate park that would provide a safe and fun <br /> environment. <br /> <br /> Michael Giannattasio spoke in support of the skate park. <br /> <br /> Lucille James stated she had presented a petition at the July 23 Council meeting and the <br /> majority of those signers were living in close proximity of Red Morton and opposed the <br /> skate park at that location. <br /> <br /> Casey Knynenburg spoke in opposition to the skate park in the Red Morton Park location. <br /> <br /> Vance Smith made a presentation on behalf of many residents in the Red Morton Park area <br /> in present in the audience. He cited various concerns and issues. He asked that the Council <br /> table action until such time that attachment no. 5 is read. <br /> <br /> Jerry Rexroth added that the staff should be directed to pursue a skate park location on <br /> non-city owned property. <br /> <br /> Pat Black stated she strongly thinks that 1% of Red Morton Park should be dedicated to a <br /> skate park. <br /> <br /> Brent Kidwell stated that although maybe Red Morton is not the right location, but <br /> somewhere in the city should be a site suitable for a skate park. <br /> <br /> Ron Guglielmone spoke about his concern over motorized scooters.
