Task 3.2 Stakeholder Meetings (Optional: will proceed only after City Project
Manager authorization)
Given the diversity of stakeholders on the corridor (Red Morton Community Center, schools,
churches, and businesses), there might be a need for additional stakeholder meetings to engage
the critical stakeholders and property owners in the discussions and develop buy -in for the
preferred concept. Potential meetings could be with business owners, neighborhood
associations, or parent -teacher associations and could align with the content and goals of the
community workshops. City will arrange all meeting logistics. Consultant shall prepare the
meeting materials and agendas for up to three (3) meetings, to be identified in conjunction with
city staff. Fehr & Peers staff can provide up to three (3) of these meetings, including attendance
by a Spanish speaker to provide in-person Spanish language engagement.
Deliverables:
Meeting agendas and handouts (for up to 3 meetings)
Task 3.3 Complete Streets Advisory Committee Meeting Coordination
Consultant shall provide support for City staff to present study updates and outcomes at two
meetings of the Complete Streets Advisory Committee (CSAC). It is assumed that technical
content for these presentations will be generated through other work tasks. Consultant shall
assist with the development of content and graphics for the presentations in coordination with
City staff.
Deliverables:
CSAC meeting presentations and handouts (for up to 2 meetings).
Task 3.4 Community Workshops
Given the community importance of this plan and the proximity to various schools, businesses,
and neighborhoods, outreach to the community members along the corridor will be essential
throughout the project. This will include engaging the community in their preferred languages —
Spanish and English — to ensure an inclusive community engagement process. Consultant shall
have Spanish speaking staff on the project team who will attend the community workshops.
For community workshops, Consultant shall provide simultaneous translation in Spanish,
including preparation of fliers and print materials. City will coordinate scheduling the meeting,
including reserving the venue and distributing advertising materials.
REV: 03-28-19 PR
ATTY/AGR.2019.075/Fehr and Peers
