This
workshop could be scheduled on a weekend to reach a wider range of the community who may
not be able to attend a weekday community workshop. The timing of this workshop could align
with either of the two planned community workshops or as a third separate round of outreach
to present the preferred alternative.
Deliverables:
Pop-up materials including handouts, posters, large prints, comment sheets
Summary of pop-up workshop (number of people attended and summary of comments)
Task 3.6 Summary of Community Outreach Efforts
Consultant shall prepare a summary of community outreach activities, which relies heavily on
graphics to summarize key comment themes and number of participants. The summary will
ultimately become a separate chapter of the final report.
Task 4. Development of Improvement Alternatives
Task 4.1 Two Improvement Alternatives
Task 4 will utilize findings of Task 2 (Existing Conditions Review) and comments received during
the first round of outreach to develop two (2) improvement alternative concepts for up to four
(4) representative segments of the corridor. The concepts will be further refined through the
second round of outreach. Throughout the alternative development process, Consultant shall
consider feasibility, existing right-of-way, and cost of improvements. Outcome of this task will
culminate in the 10% set of "grant -ready" concept plans and cost estimates developed in Task 7.
Traffic signal warrants, if needed based on feedback from the community, shall be conducted for
up to three unsignalized intersections to support the alternatives.
Consultant shall prepare an overall Plainview concept diagram for each alternative presented at
the public outreach meetings that illustrates the extent and combination of potential traffic
calming treatments. The diagrams shall be supplemented with typical cross-sections, developed
Page 15 of 20
REV: 03-28-19 PR
ATTY/AGR.2019.075/Fehr and Peers
