Existing topographic data Task 2.2: Site Visit and Walk Consultant shall conduct a site visit during school peak and off-peak hours. This site walk will allow the project team to note the existing field conditions and to make observations. City staff will also attend the site visit. Task 2.3: Data Collection After reviewing the available data and site visit, Consultant shall determine what additional data might be needed and a schedule for its collection with the City's Project Manager. Consultant shall collect traffic data including traffic turning movements, vehicular and bicycle and pedestrian counts as follow: • For Jefferson and Cleveland intersection: 12 -hour count with peak morning and peak afternoon counts • For Jefferson and Clinton: 14 -hour count with peak morning and peak afternoon counts as well as video recording to be used for the yield study Consultant shall collect the new counts prior to the community meeting and before the end of the school year. Other information to be evaluated are the estimated and existing bicycle and pedestrian demand, desired lane and curb lane use, available public right of way, and stormwater management requirements. City staff will provide the utility data for city utilities (water, sewer, and storm water). Consultant shall obtain other utility data such as power and communication data from the providers. Task 2.4: Existing Conditions Summary Consultant shall use the exiting and collected data to develop an Existing Conditions Summary Memo that will detail the baseline conditions, project needs, constraints and assumptions and will identify the opportunities, risks and risk mitigation approach. The Existing Condition Summary shall include the Jefferson/Cleveland and Jefferson/Clinton intersections and their immediate environs. Information shall be presented in a clear manner and further illustrated through tables, maps and graphics in such a way that is accessible to the general public.
