Procurement Approach <br /> <br />A. Contract Arrangements <br /> <br />. CoHection. One collection contractor will be selected and each member agency <br />will enter into a separate franchise agreement with the selected contractor. <br /> <br />. Shorewav Facilitv Operations. The SBWMA will contract for Shoreway <br />operations. <br /> <br />. Off~Site CompostinQ Services. Composting services will be contracted for by the <br />SBWMA. The Shoreway operator will deliver materials to the selected <br />composting site. <br /> <br />. Off~Site Recvclable Materials Processina Services. Single~stream recyclables <br />collection will require replacement of the Shoreway facility's current recyclables <br />processing system or off-site processing of recyclables by a third party. The <br />SBWMA will contract with an off-site contractor for single~stream recyclables <br />processing on an interim basis (while the Shoreway facility is upgraded), for <br />back-up capacity (in the event the Shoreway facility's system is not fully <br />operational); or on an on-going basis (if the Shoreway facility is not upgraded to <br />handle single.stream recyclables). <br /> <br />. Off-Site Construction and Demolition Debris (C&D) ProcessinQ Services. The <br />SBWMA entered into an agreement for C&D processing in 2006 with Zanker <br />Road Resource Management. The initial term of this agreement expires <br />December 31,2010, but can be extended until December 31,2014.
