5. Date and Time: The "Tour de Peninsula" shall be conducted on Sunday <br /> August 1, 1999, with a set up time of 6:00 a.m. The event will begin at <br /> 8:00 a.m. The event will end by 1:00 p.m. and the course will be completely <br /> cleared by 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> 6. Course Control: Those portions of the "Tour de Peninsula" taking place in <br />' ~"~'~" ~ the public right-of-way shall occur in a manner and shall be limited to that <br /> area designated by the Chief of Police. <br /> <br /> 7. Insurance: Permittee shall furnish to the City public liability and property <br /> damage insurance naming the City of Redwood City, its Council, boards, <br /> commissions, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents as insureds, or <br /> additional insureds, insuring the same against all claims for personal injury or <br /> death to any person or persons resulting or adsing from the conducting of the <br /> activities herein permitted, or alleged to have resulted or alleged to have <br /> arisen therefrom, or from any act or omission to act, of Permittee in <br /> connection therewith, in the amounts of $1,000,000 for each person and <br /> $1,000,000 for each occurrence, and property damage insurance for damage <br /> or injury to, or destruction of property, including the loss of use thereof, in the <br /> amount of $1,000,000. Evidence of such insurance coverage in form <br /> satisfactory to the City shall be furnished by Permittee to the City at least ten <br /> (10) days prior to commencement of the event. <br /> <br /> 8. Damage to Public Property: Permittee shall reimburse the City for the costs <br /> for any damages to City owned property in the vicinity of the designated <br /> route, caused by or adsing out of the conducting of the "Tour de Peninsula" <br /> permitted hereunder, or the acts, omissions to act, of persons participating in <br /> said event. Ail signs or other markings placed in or upon public property, <br /> including the public right-of-way in connection with the "Tour de Peninsula," <br /> shall be removed immediately following said event. <br /> <br /> 9. Compliance With Laws: Permittee shall comply with all appropriate and <br /> applicable rules, regulations and laws in connection with the conducting of <br /> said event, or any activities associated therewith. This permit shall be in <br /> addition to all other permits which are or may be required for conducting the <br /> "Tour de Peninsula" or any associated activity. <br /> <br /> 10. Hold Harmless: Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnify and <br /> save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, <br /> commissions, employees, volunteers, and agents from all suits, actions, <br /> damages, or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature <br /> whatsoever, resulting from or adsing out of the performance or failure to <br /> perform of Permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of <br /> said race, or any activities herein permitted. <br /> <br /> 2 13605 <br /> <br /> <br />
