<br />paid for each connection to that portion of the City water <br /> <br /> <br />system. This section shall not be applicable to portions <br /> <br /> <br />of the City water system upon which City funds are expended <br /> <br />to partially pay the expense of construction if the purpose <br /> <br /> <br />of the City's contribution to the over-all cost is to cause <br /> <br /> <br />the construction of a larger water main than would have been <br /> <br /> <br />constructed without the City's contribu"tion. This section <br /> <br /> <br />shall not be applicable to water mains constructed to replace <br /> <br /> <br />or supplement previously constructed water mains in the same <br /> <br /> <br />vicinity. This section shall not be applicable to portions <br /> <br /> <br />of the water system upon which proceeds from any bonds <br /> <br />issued by or in connection with a general improvement district <br /> <br /> <br />are expended. <br /> <br />"(b) For purposes of this section, water system facil.- <br /> <br /> <br />ities constructed prior -to October 27, 1965, shall be <br /> <br /> <br />presumed to have been constructed at the sole cost of the <br /> <br /> <br />adjoining property owners. The Director of Public Works <br /> <br /> <br />shall maintain an accurate record of all facilities of the <br /> <br /> <br />system installed subsequent to the aforesaid date for the <br /> <br />purpose of establishing a record of those facilities which <br /> <br /> <br />have been constructed at the City's expense. <br /> <br /> <br />"(c) In the event two public water mains are installed, <br /> <br /> <br />either of which could serve a parcel of property, one of <br /> <br /> <br />which was installed at the City's expense and the other at <br /> <br /> <br />the expense of a subdivider, assessment district or other- <br /> <br /> <br />wise, and it is determined to require connection to the <br /> <br /> <br />water main constructed at the City's expense, the additional <br /> <br />fee requ ired by this section shall not be applicable. <br /> <br /> <br />"Section 38.12 Every application for a connection for <br /> <br /> <br />water service to serve property located in Area C shall, ln <br /> <br />-6- <br />
