of the Government Code and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, the following codes, standards and regulations are hereby adopted and shall be in effect within the City of Redwood City to the same extent as if set out in full herein, except as expressly amended by the provisions of this article: II (1) The 'Uniform Building Code, 1967 Edition, Volume I,' as published by the International Conference of Building Officials (second printing) . The Appendix, commencing at Section 1313, is not adopted. II (2) The 'Uniform Building Code, 1967 Edition, Standards,' as published by the International Conference of Building Officials. II (b) In the event of any conflict between the provisions of the Uniform Building Code, 1967 Edition,:Volume I, here- inafter referred to as the Building Code, and the provisions of this chapter, the provisions of this chapter shall apply. IIsection 9.41 section 204 of the Building Code is hereby deleted and shall have no force or effect in the City. II Section 9.42 Section 307 is hereby added to Chapter 3 of the Building Code to read as follows: IIsection 307 (a) No building permit or certi- ficate of occupancy shall be issued by the Building Official if the structure to be con- structed or altered or the parcel of property in connection with which the permit or certificate is applied for fails to comply in any respect with the provisions of the following ordinances or provisions of the Code of the City of Redwood City as they now exist or as they may be from time to time amended: Ill.
