A sign shall be deemed to be adjacent to <br /> <br />a landscaped section of a freeway if located within 500 feet <br /> <br />of a landscaped section of a freeway.1I <br /> <br />SECTION 18. Section 3.137 of said Code is hereby amended to <br /> <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 3.137 (a) No temporary sign shall exceed <br /> <br />sixteen square feet in area. The aggregate area of all <br /> <br />temporary signs placed or maintained on any parcel of real <br /> <br />property in one ownership shall not exceed 80 square feet. <br /> <br />(b) The aggregate area of all temporary signs placed <br /> <br />or maintained within the City advertising a single event <br /> <br />or, in the event of an election, for any candidate or ballot <br /> <br />issue, shall not exceed 64 square feet.1I <br />SECTION 19. Division 7 (commencing at ~3.140) of Article II <br />of Chapter 3 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby <br /> <br />repealed. <br />SECTION 20. Division 7 (commencing at ~3.140) is hereby <br /> <br />added to Article II of Chapter 3 of said Code to read as follows: <br /> <br />II DIVISION 7. TRACT AND REAL ESTATE SIGNS. <br /> <br />IISection 3.140 Signs advertising the sale of five or <br /> <br />more lots in a tract or subdivision and hereinafter referred <br /> <br />to as 'tract signs' shall be permitted in addition to all <br />other signs permitted by this article if they comply with <br />all the following provisions: <br /> <br />lI(a) No person shall erect or maintain a tract sign until <br />a permit therefor has been secured from the Building <br />Inspector. Applications for a tract sign permit <br />shall be made on forms provided by the Building <br />Inspector and shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable <br />inspection fee of Ten Dollars for each sign. <br /> <br />-8- <br />
