<br />the assessment of property for district or <br /> <br />improvement district tax purposes and equaliza- <br /> <br />tion and correction of assessments or (b) the <br /> <br />collection, payment and enforcement of current <br /> <br />and delinquent taxes and redemption of property.1f <br /> <br />Section 4. Section 1310 is added to the Ordinance <br /> <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 1310. Applicability of Revenue and <br />Taxation Code. Whenever the Council has by ordi- <br /> <br />nance exercised its power to retain either or both <br /> <br />of the powers set forth in subsections (a) and (b) <br /> <br />," <br />of Section 1307, and to the extent required thereby, <br /> <br />(I) Sections 1 to 6000, both inclusive, of the <br /> <br />Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of California <br /> <br />as presently enacted and as said sections may from <br /> <br />time to time be amended, and to the extent that <br /> <br />said sections are not inconsistent with provisions <br /> <br />of the charter of the city, are hereby adopted to <br /> <br />provide a system for the assessment, equalization, <br /> <br />levy and collection of taxes for districts and <br />improvement districts; (II) for the purpose of <br /> <br />this ordinance the following words and phrases <br /> <br />used in the Revenue and Taxation Code shall have <br /> <br />the respective meanings set out below unless the <br /> <br />context requires otherwise: <br />(a) "Board of Supervisors If shall mean <br /> <br />IfCouncil.1f <br /> <br />(b) IfCounty" shall mean "district or <br />improvement district." <br /> <br />3 <br />
