Upon such presentation <br />and request, the Treasurer shall cut off <br />the coupons and cancel them. Until such <br />registration is cancelled as herein pro- <br />vided, the interest on and principal of <br />the bonds so registered shall be payable <br />only to the registered owner. <br />(b) The bonds may be registrable as to <br />principal only upon written request of <br />the bondholder and presentation of the <br />bond to the Treasurer for registration. <br />Upon such presentation and request the <br />Treasurer shall note such registration <br />on the bond. The coupons shall not be <br />detached. The principal of the bonds <br />so registered shall be payable only to <br />the registered owner. The interest on <br />the bonds so registered~ however~ shall <br />be payable to the bearer of the coupons <br />representing such interest in the same <br />manner as unregistered bonds. Any bonds <br />so registered may be registrable as to <br />both principal and interest as set forth <br />in paragraph (a) above. <br />(c) The registration of any unmatured bonds <br />may be cancellable upon written request <br />of the registered owner and the presenta- <br />tion of the bonds to the Treasurer for <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />5 <br />
