<br />II (e) That the applicant pay the reasonable costs of <br />the checking of plans, the making of field <br />inspections and the staking of the project and <br />that the applicant establish a deposit in the <br />amount of the estimated cost of such engineering <br />work. <br /> <br />"Section 29.48 <br /> <br />In the event the improvement work to <br /> <br />be performed will be done within a street or alley, the <br /> <br />City Engineer may require that the applicant furnish the <br /> <br />City with a performance bond to assure that any improvement <br /> <br />work commenced will be completed within the time established <br /> <br />by the permit and to the standards and conditions established <br />by the city and the permit. The amount, form and nature of <br /> <br />the surety shall be subject to the City Engineer's approval. <br /> <br />"section 29.49 <br /> <br />In any case where the City Engineer <br /> <br />estimates that the cost of the work will exceed Two Thousand <br /> <br />Dollars ($2,000.00), or that a dangerous or hazardous condi- <br /> <br />tion will be created by the doing of the work, whether to <br />persons or to property, the City Engineer may require that <br /> <br />the applicant enter into an improvement agreement with the <br /> <br />City on such terms and conditions as may be approved by the <br /> <br />City Council. <br /> <br />"Section 29.50 <br /> <br />All improvements installed and all <br /> <br />work performed by or on behalf of the applicant shall be <br /> <br />installed and done in strict conformity with the terms and <br /> <br />conditions of any permit issued. <br /> <br />"Section 29.5l <br /> <br />Every public service corporation <br /> <br />maintaining pipes or conduits in the streets of the City <br />shall file with the City Council during the month of January <br /> <br />of each year a map indicating the size and location of each <br /> <br />pipe or conduit owned and maintained by such public service <br /> <br />corporation in the streets of the City; provided, however, <br /> <br />-3- <br />
