City Trees, a citizen's volunteer group does community outreach to inform <br />citizens about the value of trees to our community. <br /> <br />Findinas: <br /> <br />a. There is currently a lack of outreach to provide public information on the <br />value of urban trees and information on tree care (i.e. brochures). <br /> <br />b. There a lack of pUblic education about tree ordinances covering activities <br />such as removals, pruning, planting. <br /> <br />c. The city does not showcase its Heritage trees, which could be used as a <br />vehicle for community education and interaction. <br /> <br />d. It is not clearly communicated how to abide by the ordinance now, i.e. get a <br />permit or report a tree violation. <br /> <br />e.
