RULES AND REGULATIONS, PAGE 3 <br /> 19. Samples may be given in accordance with the following guidelines: <br /> <br /> Keep samples in clean covered containers <br /> Use toothpicks or disposable utensils to disa'ibute the samples <br /> Dispose of pits, peels, food waste and rubbish in your own leakproof gar'oage <br /> receptacles <br /> Produce intended for sampling must be washed and cleaned - not in the reslrooms <br /> provided for personal use <br /> Utensils and cutting surfaces must be washed and sanitized (use a chlorine solution <br /> of one teaspoon or capful of liquid bleach per gallon of water) - not in the <br /> restrooms provided for personal use <br /> Cutting surfaces must be smooth, non-absorbont and easily cleanable <br /> <br />20. Growers/vendors are expected to stand behind their merchandise and refund for, <br /> or replace, any that is unsatisfactory. <br /> <br />21. Pets: State law prohibits pets from places where food is sold. Growers/vendors <br /> are not to bring pets with them to the market. <br /> <br />22. Vendors on non-agl'icultural products (fish, shellfish, smoked fish, bottles sauces, <br /> jams and jellies, bottled sauces, and bakery products) must meet the following <br /> conditions: <br /> <br /> a. Obtain a current Health l~,,,,it from the San Mate<) County <br /> Environmental Health Dep~u:ment <br /> b. Bring a vehicle to the market and affix the Health Department permit to <br /> the vehicle <br /> c. The vehicle must have a sign giving the name of the company/vendor and <br /> the location. Removable signs are satisfactory. <br /> <br />23. Although this Farmers Market exists to sell agricultural products, it also includes <br /> non-agricultural products in a separate designated area. <br /> <br />24. Participation: Participation in the market as a vendor is entirely at the discretion <br /> of the REDWOOD CITY FARMERS MARKET (market operation). <br /> <br /> Every vendor shaH apply in writing to the market for permission to occupy space <br /> at the market. Such permission shall be granted upon condition that the vendor <br /> agrees to abide by all rules and regulations of the market, rules regarding the use <br /> of restrooms, as well as all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of any <br /> government agency. <br /> <br /> <br />
