FIRST AMENDMENT TO REVOCABLE PERMIT <br /> FOR OPERATION OF A FARMERS MARKET <br /> (Redwood City Kiwanis Farmers) <br /> <br /> This First-Amendment to Revocable Permit for Operation of a Farmers Market is <br />made and entered into this ~ day of March, 2002, by and between the City of <br />Redwood City, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") <br />and the Redwood City Kiwanis Farmers ("Permittee"). <br /> <br /> RECITALS: <br /> <br /> a. On or about March 9, 1999, Permittee was granted a revocable permit to <br /> <br />operate a Farmers Market in Redwood City (the "Permit"). <br /> <br /> b. The parties now desire to amend the Permit to extend the operating period <br />by one month and to update the notification address for Permittee. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE CITY AND PERMITTEE AGREE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The first full paragraph of Paragraph 3 of the Permit is amended in its <br />entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "3. TEMPORARY PERMIT; REVOCATION. This Permit <br /> is temporary in nature and does not constitute a deed, grant <br /> of easement, lease, conveyance, or transfer of any property <br /> interest or any employer-employee relationship between <br /> City and Permittee and is revocable without cause at any <br /> time by City, effective upon giving not less than 'thirty (30) <br /> days prior written notice of such revocation addressed to <br /> Permittee as follows: Caroline McHenry, Redwood City <br /> Farmers Market, 345 Middle Road, Belmont, CA 94002, and <br /> mailed or delivered to Permittee at said address.
