Oral reports of our field observations will be made on a regular basis to
the project representative. We will consider that representative responsible for dealing with
items of non-compliance. Unless otherwise requested, a written report of our findings and
opinion as to compliance will be issued at the completion of
our fieldwork at the site. Various agencies require that the
geotechnical consultant sign a statement that all phases of
construction requiring geotechnical observation were
completed according to their recommendations. Please note
that we will not be able to sign such a statement for your
project should those phases outlined in Table 1 of this
agreement be completed without our observation. In addition, any changes in the project
plans and specifications impacting the work to be observed by us should be brought to our
attention as soon as possible, and we should be provided with copies of the new data.

At the end of
construction, we will
provide, upon request, a
concise letter
summarizing our
services and opinion

CONTINGENCY SERVICES

It is common for us to be requested to perform additional services that are not outlined in
this agreement. Also, we are occasionally requested to retest areas of failed compaction or to
provide supplemental recommendations and observations that result from wet weather
grading problems, which are not included in this agreement. If we are requested to perform
additional services, or are requested to be on-site for periods of time which exceed the hours
shown in Table 1, we will proceed only with email or written authorization from your
designated representatives. We will then fax a "Notification of Additional Services," detailing
the requested additional services to your office.

TRC Lov,ney

Page 4
P15878
