<br />Exhibit "G" <br /> <br />CTTY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR <br /> <br />DEFINITION <br /> <br />To administer and coordinate the City's Housing and Redevelopment programs <br />under the direction of the Community Development Director; to participate in <br />the administration of Community Development Department; and tQ develop and <br />maintain the Housing Element of the City's General Plan. <br /> <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br /> <br />Direction is provided by the Community Development Director. Assignments <br />include direct functional supervision over subordinate staff. <br /> <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - Duties may include, but are not limited to, the <br />following: <br /> <br />Responsible for the administration of the CDGB program, Redevelopment Agency <br />Pro grams. <br /> <br />Shall function as the Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency. <br /> <br />Supervise work of contract appraisers, architects, engineers, etc. <br /> <br />Serve as coordinator in dealing with agencies of the State and <br />Federal government in community development programs. <br /> <br />Assist in determining housing and other physical needs of the City. <br /> <br />Develop new housing initiatives. <br /> <br />Coordinate the issuance of revenue bands for housing and redevelopment <br />purposes. <br /> <br />Serve as staff liaison to citizen committees concerned with housing, <br />redevelopment, and related social issues (HOUSing and Human Concerns _ <br />Rehabilitation Loan). <br /> <br />Develop and supervise housing rehabilitation financing programs. <br /> <br />Plan and develop projects related to social and historical objectives of the <br />community and assist in obtaining community participation in these projects. <br /> <br />Coordinate physical projects resulting from a Community Development Block <br />Grant or redevelopment. <br /> <br />Negotiate acquisition of properties in Redevelopment Areas. <br /> <br />Assist in preparing development and disposition agreements. <br /> <br />Develop and monitor CDBG budget and assist in the development and monitoring <br />of the redevelopment budget. <br /> <br />Prepare comprehensive reports based on research and analysis of <br />rehabilitation and development problems. <br /> <br />Respond to and resolve difficult citizen inquiries and complaints. <br /> <br />Perform related duties as assigned. <br />
