Council Members asked questions such as the difference between the <br />metering and the basic metering. Comments included thanking Mr. <br />Council Member Howard for all the work on congestion relief for the Co <br />an excellent example of regional thinking combined with regional planning <br />expanded <br />apier and <br />my that is <br />Recommendation: <br />M/S Foust/Bain to direct C /CAG Member /Council Member Howard to vote at the <br />February C /CAG Board meeting for the reauthorization of the Congestion Relief <br />Program, Option 1 ($1,850,000.), for a term of four years. The motion passed by <br />a unanimous voice vote. MINUTE ORDER 07 -012 <br />C. Initiate the Community Shuttle Service Pilot Program <br />Council Member Howard, Chair for Traffic Congestion Relief Alliance, acknowledged <br />representatives present at the meeting and all task force members. (Based on <br />feedback from the task force it was determined that a transportation survey was <br />necessary. The results showed strong interest from both community merfnbers and <br />employers in a shuttle. The Alliance received approval to plan and apply for grant <br />funds which has resulted in several grant awards. She further explained the logic for <br />separating the commuter shuttle from the community shuttle. <br />Council Members made various comments that included thanks and support for the <br />program. <br />Recommendation: <br />M/S Foust/Aguirre to: <br />1. By motion approving the Community Shuttle Service Pilot Program, to include <br />the commuter route and schedule as proposed. <br />2. Direct staff to collaborate with Alliance in working out the details for the method <br />of financial management to be utilized for the shuttle program. The <br />recommended method by the Shuttle Stakeholder Group is Alliance Operated — <br />Alliance Managed. (205) <br />The motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. MINUTE ORDER 07 -013 <br />D.
