Proposal for Professional Services <br /> Redwood City Branch Library in Redwood Shores <br /> Page 5 of 14 <br /> September 13, 2002 <br /> <br /> Phase 2: Concept Development and Bond Application <br /> <br /> Receive Initial and Final Boundary and Topographical Survey <br /> The Client will provide a hard copy and electronic copy of the initial and final survey indicating all easements, <br /> utilities, vegetation, curbs, adjacent sites, etc. for use in this project. <br /> <br /> Regulatory Meeting: Initial BCDC Jurisdictional Issues <br /> The Consultant team will prepare for, facilitate and document a Me~ting with BCDc <br /> o Determine the potential Site Opportunities and Existing Conditions at the Btidge and Marine Parkway site. <br /> ~ Determine jurisdictional processes required for the project. <br /> <br /> Regulatory Meeting: City of Redwood City Planning and Redevelopment <br /> The Consultant team will prepare for, facilitate and document a Meeting with CRC Ptanmng and Redevelopment <br /> o Determine the jurisdictional issues associated with this project <br /> o Determine overlapping of regulatory processes (Redwood Shores, Redwood City, CEQA, BCDC) <br /> <br /> Preliminary Site Analysis and Data Gathering <br /> The Consultant team will prepare for, facilitate and document a Site Tour of the Btidge and Marine Parkway site <br /> o Document the site with digital photography and Site Analysis Drawing Compile climatic data of the site <br /> Document wind patterns, sun paths, view, pedesttian and vehicular traffic patterns, accessibility, soils <br /> conditions, vegetation, adjacent properties and development, etc. <br /> Review of provided Site Information from the City of Redwood City, including Topographical and Boundary <br /> Survey, Title Report, Assessed Valuation, Preliminary Geoteclmical Report, etc. <br /> <br /> Regulatory Research <br /> The Consultant team will document zoning and development requirements associated with the site <br /> o Create zoning report highlighting zone, setbacks, and height restrictions, associated with the proposed site. <br /> <br /> Receive Initial Geotechnical Reports <br /> The Client will provide a preliminary geotechnical report for use on this project. <br /> <br /> ~ Narrative 51~?.~Tn~..S!te Fi~ Diagrams <br /> The Consultant team will create 2 Site Fit Alternatives <br />· o Define basic parameters of 2 basic design solutions with major site elements resolved, such as pedestrian and <br /> vehicular access and circulation, building entry, building location on site, parking location. The result will be a <br /> "bubble diagram" at a site planning level. <br /> <br /> Community Forum: Community Vision/Character Charrette <br /> The Consultant team will prepare for, facilitate and document a Community Forum <br /> = Solicit Feedback on the Proposed Library Service Plan <br /> Share the Site Analysis and obtain comments from Community on the proposed Site <br /> = Engage in a facilitated Character and Vision Exercise/Charrette with the community <br /> <br /> Core Team Meeting 6: Alternatives <br /> The Consultant team will prepare for, facilitate and document a core Team meeting tO include: <br /> = Review and Solicit feedback on 2 Narrative Alternatives and Site Fit Diagrams <br /> <br /> Community Advisory Committee Meeting 3: Alternatives <br /> The Consultant team will prepare for, facilitate and document an Advisory comrmttee meeting to include: <br /> Review and Solicit feedback on 2 Narrative Alternatives and Site Fit Diagrams <br /> <br /> Continue 2 Narrative Design Alternates with Site Fit Diagrams <br /> <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> <br /> <br />
