This <br />property is included within the boundaries of the proposed district because of its <br />proximity to the heart of the proposed district. <br /> <br /> *.'o 1991 Broadway <br /> <br />Mr. Rolandelli presented a power point presentation discussing the different <br />properties. <br /> <br />Commissioner Radcliffe asked for clarification on the Federal Grant Program for <br />the Main Street District proprosal. <br /> <br />Commissioner Seybert had questions about the facility located at 1991 Broadway <br />set and said he wanted to know what was there before and what is there now. <br /> <br />Commissioner Piulle asked a question about the benefits of district designation <br />and asked about whether the programs involving property tax relief and mills act <br />agreements were voluntary or mandated agreements. <br /> <br />Mr. Rolandelli replied that these types of programs are activated by the property <br />owner, he explained that it's an incentive and not a requirement. <br /> <br />Commissioner Piulle asked how many properties at this moment in the proposed <br />Historic District are taking advantage of the Mills Act Agreement. <br /> <br />Mr. Rolandelli said thera are none. <br /> <br />Mr, Jany said that the HRAC has sent letters to all property owners of <br />designated historic properties and severl property owners have decided to <br />exercise certain histodc preservation options. <br /> <br />Commissioner Garcia said that it his understanding is that anyone who owns a <br />historic property can take it down and thera is nothing anybody can do to stop it. <br /> <br />Mr. Rolandelii said that a property, which is a designated Historic resource has a <br />review process to delay demolition, non designated historic properties could get <br />a demolition permit over the counter. <br /> <br /> <br />
