To strengthen the retail vitality and economic base <br /> of the downtown area, and to concentrate retail uses downtown which will serve <br /> the needs of Redwood City residents, businesses, and workers. To encourage the <br /> upgrading of building exteriors, signs, passageways, and rear entries in the <br /> district. <br /> <br /> ~ ~ The following retail uses are permitted: <br /> <br /> a. Antique shops; <br /> b Art supply stores and galleries; <br /> c. Auto parts sales; <br /> d. Bakeries; <br /> e. Banks and title companies on second floor and above; <br /> f. Barber shops; <br /> g. Beauty parlors; <br /> h. Bicycle sales and repairs; <br /> i. Bookstores, including the sale of used books; <br /> j. Clothing stores, not including the sale of used clothing; <br /> k. Candy and ice cream stores; <br /> I. Computer and computer supply sales; <br />(~ m. Copy services; <br /> n. Dry-cleaning establishments, without a plant on the premises; <br /> o. Delicatessens; <br /> p.
