It is understood that any chan�e from the group health <br /> plans offered by the California Public Employee's ReCirement System <br /> (PERS) will only be made by mutual agreement befiween the City of <br /> Redwood City and the Police Officers Association. it is understood <br /> that any such chan�e is subject to approval of the P.O.A. <br /> membership. <br /> 10.1.7 For e��ployees who Fiave teii �10) yeai�5 uf Se1ViC� 3Pld C�tli"E Ui�Clcf tI'i� <br /> City's retirement plan, the retirement stipend paid by the City shalt be <br /> equat to the premium paid for a current employee, for the same ptan <br /> based on the Bay Area/Sacramento Regional pricing schedute, <br /> Retirees that reside in other higher priced regions will be required to <br /> pay the additional premium amount that is in excess of the Bay <br /> Area/Sacramento rates. For emptoyees retired prior to September 1, <br /> 1985, the City shall pay the cost of health plans in accordance with <br /> the appticable MOU or City practice in effect at �he time of <br /> reti rement. <br /> 10.9.8 Att costs incurred by the City to maintain the Group Nealth Benefits <br /> Plan in compliance with Government Code Section 22751, et. seq., <br /> and att costs incurred by the City to maintain the Cafeteria Plan in <br /> comptiance with IRS Code Section 125, shall be paid from the <br /> aforementioned monthly dollar caps identified in Sections 30:1:4, and <br /> 90.1.5. Such costs inctude, but are not timited to, premiums, <br /> surcharges, and/or administrative fees. <br /> 10.1.9 In the event there are any casts not charged to the City due to delays <br /> by the Group Heatth Ptan Administrator and/or other administrative <br /> a�encies in calcu[ating or reporting these costs, said costs shall be <br /> carried over and charged as adrninistrative costs to the following ptan <br /> year and deducted from the aforementioned monthly dollar caps <br /> accordingty. <br /> 10.1.1d An employee who is receiving a disability retirement due to a work <br /> related illness ar injury, shall receive paid medicat benefits provided <br /> that the following conditiQns are met: <br /> A. The employee is not e(igible for benefits under 10.1.7; and, <br /> B. The employee is not eligibte for similar benefits through a <br /> spouse's health plan. <br /> 26 <br />
