6.1 F <br /> Page 43 <br /> such outside employment shall be submitted to the Chief of Police on the <br /> appropriate City form no less than five (5) days prior to the anticipated <br /> commen�errent date of the �uts��2 ���toyme�t. <br /> 18.3 Any outside employment, activity, or enterprise shall be prohibited if it <br /> involves any of the following: <br /> 18.3.1 The use for private gain or advantage of City time, facilities, <br /> equipment, or supplies; <br /> 1$.3.2 The use of the badge, uniform, prestige or influen�e of the unit <br /> member's City office or emptayment; <br /> 18.3.3 Receipt or acceptance by the unit member of any money or other <br /> consideration from anyon� other than the City for the performance of <br /> an act which the unit member, if not perfarming such act, would be <br /> required or expected to render in the regutar course ar hours of <br /> his/her City employment or as a part of his/her duties as a City <br /> emptoyee; <br /> 18.3.4 The performance of an act in other than his/her capacity as a City <br /> employee, which act may tater be subject directty or indirectty to the <br /> contrat, inspection, review, audit or enforcement of the City or any of <br /> its officers or employees; <br /> 18.3.5 Such time demands as woutd render performance of his/her duties as <br /> a City employee Cess efficient. <br /> 18.4 Any unit member who is determined to have engaged in an activity prohibited <br /> by or in violation of th�s Section 18 shall be subject to disciplinary action <br /> including, without limitation, suspension or termination. The unit member <br /> shall receive notice of the proposed discipline and shalt have the right to <br /> appeat through the Grievance Procedure contained in this MOU. <br /> SECTION 19. SAFETY <br /> Each emptoyee covered by this MOU agrees to comply with a(l safety rules and <br /> regutations in effect and any subsequent rules and regu[ations that may be adopted. <br /> Employees further agree that they will report all accidents and safety hazards to the <br /> appropriate management official immediately. Any employee having knowledge of or <br /> who is a witness to an accident shall, if requested, give full and truthfut testimony as <br /> to same. <br /> ao <br />
