Community Action Network <br /> Ideas for action by RC 2020 can come from a wide variety of sources which together <br /> make up the Community Action Network. RC 2020 will provide staff support to groups <br /> organized within the Community Action Network and facilitate the on-going development <br /> of community improvement projects utilizing a dynamic civic engagement through <br /> dialogue strategy. <br /> <br /> V. Project Staff <br /> RC 2020 will be supported by an Executive Director and support staff, who will work <br /> with the parties and other members of the RC 2020 as follows: <br /> <br /> A. Facilitate communication and skill building between local collaborative, coalitions <br /> and task forces and community volunteer team; <br /> B. Facilitate strategic planning processes through the provision of staff support to the <br /> Community Action Network; <br /> C. Synthesize community organization strategies including organizing focus groups, <br /> surveys, needs assessments and town hall meetings; <br /> D. Assist in developing collaborative grant applications. <br /> E. Implement civic engagement and leadership development strategies <br /> <br />ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGIES <br /> <br /> 1. RC 2020 shall direct its efforts towards Redwood City and its immediate sphere of <br /> influence. <br /> 2. RC 2020 will endeavor to work with already existing organizations and structures <br /> within the community to maintain a commitment to reducing the duplication and <br /> fragmentation of service. <br /> 3.
