'7.2A-IL <br /> <br /> Employees with fifteen (15) but less than twenty (20) years of service will <br /> receive and additional two and one-half percent (2-1/2%) of pay. <br /> <br /> Employees with twenty (20 but less than twenty-five (25) years of service, will <br /> receive an additional two and one-half percent (2-1/2%) of pay (five percent <br /> (s%) tom). <br /> <br /> Employees with twenty-five (25) or mom years of service will receive an <br /> additional two and one-half percent (2-1/2%) of pay (seven and one-half <br /> percent (7-1/2%) total). <br /> <br /> The Service Incentive shall be considered wages for the purpose of computing <br /> overUme, holiday pay, and PEPS retirement benefits. <br /> <br /> It is understood that the same employee will not receive both Educational and <br /> Service Incentive benefits. <br /> <br /> 7.13 Educational Zncentive <br /> <br /> The Educational ]Incentive provisions apply to new employees hired on or alter <br /> January 1, 1988, and to those previously hired employees who do not qualify <br /> for or elect to be covered by the Service Incentive provisions. <br /> <br /> Effective .lanuary 1, 1988, the Educational ~ncentive shall be considered wages <br /> for the purposes of computing overtime, holiday pay, and PEPS retirement <br /> benefits. <br /> <br /> It is unde~t, ood that in no case will the same employee receive both <br /> Educational and Service Incentive benefits. <br /> <br /> All qualifying college credits must have been earned at or accepted by an <br /> accredited California school, college or university, in the field of Fire Sdence or <br /> related subjects leading to an A.S. or A.A. Degree in Rm Sdence. <br /> <br /> A. Employees who maintain a current satisfactory performance <br /> evaluation and who have completed two (2) years or more of <br /> service and fifteen (15) college credits, twelve (12) of must be in <br /> Fire Sdence and three (3) in Related Electives, including Emergency <br /> Medical Training, will receive two and one-half percent (2-1/2%) <br /> additional pay. <br /> <br /> B. Employees who maintain a current satisfactory performance <br /> evaluation and who have completed five (5) years or more of <br /> service and have thirty (30) college credits, twenty-four (24) of <br /> which must be in Fire Sdence and six (6) in Related Electives, <br /> including Emergency Medical Training, will receive two and one-half <br /> percent (2-1/2%) additional pay for a total of five percent (5%). <br /> <br /> 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
