<br />10A <br /> <br />LEAGUE PRESIDENT APPOINTS BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOMINATING COMMITTEE Page 7 <br />Nominations Sought for Second Vice President, Five At-Large Positions <br /> <br />League of California Cities President Maria <br />Alegria, mayor pro tem, Pinole, has appointed the <br />2007 Board of Directors Nominating Committee. <br />Five at-large League board positions (two-year <br />term) and the League's second vice president are <br />available for elected officials interested in serving <br />on the board. <br /> <br />Appointed to the committee and charged with <br />the responsibility of nominating League officers <br />and at-large directors are: <br /> <br />. Terry Henderson (Chair) council member, <br />La Quinta <br />. Glen Becerra, council member, Simi Valley <br />. Janice Rutherford, council member, <br />Fontana <br />. Chad Mayes, council member, Yucca <br />Valley <br />. Mike Doyle, council member, Danville <br />. Dennis Washburn, council member, <br />Calabasas <br />. Harry Armstrong, council member, Clovis <br />. Renee Zeimer, assistant to the city <br />manager, Walnut Creek <br />. Ken Cooley, council member, Rancho <br />Cordova <br />. Lorraine Dietrich, council member, <br />Livermore <br /> <br />The nominating committee will meet on July 27 <br />before the July 27-28 board meeting in Monterey, <br />to review the applications of potential nominees. <br />Any candidates for second vice president must <br />have previously served on the League board of <br />directors.
