8A
Page 10

The 78.5 af/yr historical water use credit is based on Table 10.1 of the Draft EIR for the
Marina Shores Village Project dated March 5, 2003. It states that the historic water use for
1999 for the Peninsula Marina Property was 70,085 gallons per day, or 78.5 acre feet per
year. The 70,085 gallons per day value can be traced back to the Marina Shores Village
Water Report prepared by BFK Engineers for Glenborough-Pauls, LLC, and approved by
the City of Redwood City Engineering and Construction Department on December 4, 2002.

I Table 3
Peninsula Park Project Estimated Water Demand (af/yr)
I Description Potable Recycled
Water Use Water Use
Residential 117.7 I 0.0
Office 0.8 0.3
Hotel 36.3 8.3
Restaurant 2.7 0.0
Landscaping 0.0 18.5
Boat Slips (Marina) 1.9 0.0
Total Site Water Use 159.3 27.1
Historic Water Use Credit -78.5
Net Potable Water Use 80.8
Source: Attachment Q bv CDS dated 1/29/2007

Does the 2005 UWMP account for the Peninsula Park Project's demand?
The water demand for the Peninsula Park project was not accounted for in the City's 2005
Urban Water Management Plan.

6. WATER SUPPLY SUFFICIENCY ANALYSIS

Under SB 610, the primary issue to be addressed in the WSA is: will the projected water
supply for the next 20 years - based on normal, single dry, and multiple dry years,
meet the demand projected for the proposed project plus existing and planned future
use, including agricultural and manufacturing uses? This section of the WSA
addresses this question, and is based on information contained within the Redwood City
2005 UWMP.

Determination: Redwood City has sufficient water to meet the expected future water
demands of the Peninsula Park Project in most years. During periods of shortages,
however, the Project would increase the magnitude of cutbacks required by existing water
customers and new customers identified in the UWMP. In a single dry year scenario, the
Project would increase cutbacks of other customers by an additional 0.74 percent. In a
multiple dry year scenario, the project would increase water cutbacks by an additional 0.85
percent.
