The parking an <br /> Horgan Avenue will be impacted and density is inconsistent. A great concern is regard+ng the <br /> evacuating of underground parking especia!!y since it is so close to the gas station. <br /> Erin Callaahan, resident: stated that traffic is an issue. She is impressed by the projsct and <br /> wouEd like�o see an improvement of Woodside Road. <br /> Joel Klein, resident, stated that Horgan and Kentfreld are the only access rautes to high density <br /> housing in Redwood City and would like#o see high density housing spread out. <br /> Ken Doran, resident, stated that there are bad traffic conditians and accidents at the gas station. <br /> The traffic study does not make any sense and Woodside and Horgan is a dangerous <br /> intersectian. <br /> M/S (Borgen/Gee)to close the public Hearing. <br /> Mo#ion Passed <br /> COMMlSSIONER COMMENTS <br /> Commissioner Coddi;�y stated that one of±he biggest iss�ss is the traffic and traffic flows. He <br /> asked the traffic engineer how the traffic study was done. <br /> Gary Black, Nexagon Transportation, repfied that a traffic count was done in the traffic study <br /> and calculations used to reach the conclusion and that they used objective standard and <br /> compared standards adopted by the City. The delay that cars face when they are exiting the <br /> neighborhood was measured and falls wi#hin the range that is considered acceptable based on <br /> City standards. <br /> Commissione� Codding stated that the traific study talks about an additionai 19 to 22 trips per <br /> AM anti PM peak hours, if there is forty three condos and typically 2-3 people per condo. <br /> Mr. Black replied that the number that was used in the study is for one hour and they picked the <br /> worst hours of the day in the morning and evening and included Saturday.
