City. The bid package will include one branch pipeline totaling approximately 2,400
If of 12-inch pipeline along Chesapeake Drive, Penobscot Drive, and Saginaw Drive.
The bid package will also include approximately 10 service laterals ranging in size
from 2-inch to 4-inch diameter. The laterals will extend from the new recycled water
pipelines to eligible customer sites. These laterals do not include schools or parks.
· Bid Package 7, which will include a new 24-inch diameter recycled water pipeline
totaling approximately 4,500 If in two segments. The first segment will consist of
approximately 2,200 If in East Bayshore Road from Whipple Avenue to Bair Island
Road, and the second segment will consist of approximately 2,300 If in Blomquist
Street from Walnut Street to Seaport Boulevard. The pipelines in this bid package
will connect to a 24-inch pipeline at Whipple Avenue and East Bayshore Road, which
was constructed as part of the Highway 101 Bike Path Pipeline Project; to a 24-inch
pipeline at Bair Island Road, which will be installed as part of Bid Package 8; to a 24-
inch pipeline at Walnut Street, which will be installed as part of Bid Package 8; to a
24-inch pipeline stub in Walnut Street, which will provide a future connection to
Central Redwood City; and to a 14-inch pipeline at Seaport Boulevard, which will be
installed as part of Bid Package 6. The 24-inch connection at Walnut Street to Bid
Package 8 may be replaced with a smaller pipeline if the Bid Package 8 routing does
not end here. This bid package will include four branch pipelines totaling
approximately 1,300 lfof 8-inch to 24-inch pipeline along a driveway to Granite
Rock, along Maple Street to the Redwood City Police Facility, and along Walnut
Street to Highway 101 for future service to Central Redwood City. It is understood
that the branch pipeline along Bair Island Road to Pete's Harbor will be installed by a
future developer. The bid package will also include approximately 14 service laterals
ranging in size from 2-inch to 4-inch diameter. The laterals will extend from the new
recycled water pipelines to each eligible customer site. These laterals do not include
schools or parks. A potable water backup connection will be provided.
Bid Package 8, which will include a new 24-inch diameter recycled water pipeline
totaling approximately 1,900 If to 4,000 If, depending upon the routing selected
(assumed to be 3,000 If for the scope of work), from Bair Island Road to Walnut
Street or from Bair Island Road to Pete's Harbor to Seaport Village. This pipeline
will connect to a 24-inch pipeline at Bair Island Road that will be installed as part of
Bid Package 7. It may connect to a 24-inch pipeline at Walnut Street that will be
installed as part of Bid Package 7 or to a 24-inch pipeline at Chesapeake Drive that
No branch pipelines or laterals are anticipated as part of this bid package.
Bid Package 9, which will include a new 8-inch diameter recycled water pipeline
totaling approximately 4,600 If along Bridge Parkway from Island Parkway to Marine
Parkway, and a new 14-inch diameter recycled water pipeline totaling 1,300 If along
Island Parkway from Marine Parkway to Bridge Parkway. These pipelines will
connect to a 14-inch pipeline that was installed as part of Bid Package 1. It is
anticipated that any required branch pipelines and laterals will be constructed by the
Westport Complex owner, and so branch pipelines and laterals are not included in the
scope of work for this bid package.

Agreement over $10K
KennedyJenks Rev-2 112603

11
