Drawing and specification mark-ups provided by the contractors for Bid Packages 1 <br />to 9 will be used as the basis for developing record drawings. <br /> <br />Other assumptions as stated on the enclosed tables and Scope of Services. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK: <br /> <br />Kennedy/Jenks Consultants ("Consultant") shall provide professional and technical services for <br />final design including,preparation of plans, specifications and contract documents; and office <br />engineering assistance during bidding to complete the Project as described herein. <br /> <br />The Consultant will directly subconsult for geotechnical investigation for Bid Package 8, <br />easement documentation for Bid Packages 7 to 9, and potholing existing utilities for Bid <br />Packages 6 to 9. The City will contract with other consultants/providers for reproduction of <br />bidding documents. The Consultant will coordinate with the City staff, consultants and service <br />providers. <br /> <br />The City will provide traffic control and street opening permits as required by Consultant during <br />design for streets within the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />Design of recycled water customers' onsite retrofit facilities and major utility relocations, and <br />investigations of right-of-way acquisition and hazardous materials are not included in the scope <br />of work. The locations of the laterals will be coordinated with the retrofit work. The City will <br />investigate rights-of-way acquisition and will obtain necessary easements. <br /> <br />The following items would constitute a change in the scope of work and so would require a <br />modification to the budget: <br /> <br />. Delays in schedule. <br /> <br />. Increases in pipeline lengths. <br /> <br />. Increased in number of branches or branch lengths. <br /> <br />. Increase in number of laterals. <br /> <br />. Permitting, other than permitting for Union Pacific Railroad, Caltrans, Department of <br />Fish and Game, and Army Corps of Engineers. <br /> <br />BID PACKAGE 6 <br /> <br />Task 1 - Project Management <br /> <br />This task includes project management and administrative services necessary to complete the <br />tasks defined in this scope of services (Tasks 2 through 5).
