Limit the hours of operation of heavy equipment and/or the amount of <br />equipment in use. <br />. Avoid use of electrical generators by using utilitYMprovided electricity. <br /> <br />47.MMRP Stangard Condition 4.6-1: Project-related construction activities shall <br />be limited to~ weekdays between the hours of 7:00 a.m: and 8:00 p.m. No <br />construction actMties shall take place on weekends or holidays. This <br />standard condition cited in the EIR shall be adhered to unless otherwise <br />approved by the Chief Building Official and/or City Engineer. <br /> <br />48. MMRP Mitigation Measure 4.8-1: Construction of a continuous perimeter <br />around the building, slightly deepened footings, placement of non-expansive <br />fill material beneath the building slab and special subgrade preparation shall <br />be implemented to prevent hazards associated with expansive soil. <br /> <br />49. MMRP Mitigation Measure 4.8M2: The project shall comply with fiquefaction <br />prevention measures, as necessary, stated within the State of California <br />Mining and Geology Board Publication 117, "Guidelines for Evaluating and <br />Mitigating Seismic Hazards in California." <br /> <br />50. MMRP Mitigation Measure 4.8-3: The project shall comply with the <br />recommendations provided in the Geotechnical Investigation and Soil <br />Investigation letter (Appendix G) to prevent undue geologic hazards on-site. <br /> <br />51. If deemed necessary by Engineering and Construction Services, the applicant <br />shall obtain a Dirt Hauling Permit for the transport of construction related bulk <br />materials. <br /> <br />52. The applicant shall comply with the standards and procedures outlined in the <br />City's Cultural Resources Management Plan, e.g., a qualified <br />archaeologist/historian shall be retained by the applicant in the event of a <br />discovery of historic resources during excavation activities. Such resources <br />shall be evaluated, recorded, and stored in accordance with the requirements <br />of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). <br /> <br />Operational Conditions: <br />53. The hours of operation for the new Costco Wholesale retail warehouse and <br />tire center are approved as requested from 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM Monday - <br />Friday; 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM Saturday; and 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sunday; with <br />additional morning hours for business customers. Upon written request, the <br />Redwood City Zoning Administrator may extend the approved hours of <br />operation consistent with other commercial uses in the area (e.g. Orchard <br />Supply Hardware opens at 7:00 AM and closes at 9:00 PM on weekdays). <br /> <br />Page 13 of21 <br />
